Job's Nursery LLC is a family owned nursery and tree farm that offers a wide selection of outdoor plants that are hardy for our area. We are located just north of Pasco on Columbia River Road.  It's a short trip to a beautiful location to escape the hustle and bustle of your everyday life.

Garden Coaching

Garden Coaching is where you need help with plant health, pruning advice, tree placement, design help, or finding the right plant for that spot in the yard. At the nursery this service is free.  If you would like us to go to your home, we do charge a consulting rate of 79.99 per hour (minimum of one hour), offered for the Tri-City area. To better help coach you, below is information we need from you to better help you.

Information we need to help you with Plant Health Coaching

  • Pictures of the plant with closeups of the area of concern or damage
  • How long have you had the plant?
  • How long have your noticed the concern?
  • What exposure is the plant in?  ex Full Sun, Morning Sun, All day shade
  • Do you prefer Organic, Traditional or whatever will work solutions?
  • How is the plant getting water with what type of sprinkler, duration of watering and how many times a day, week or month?
  • When was the plant last fertilized and with what kind of fertilizer?

Information we need to help you with Tree Placement

  • Picture of area in the yard
  • Measurements from the sidewalk, driveway, house foundation, retaining walls or nearby structures
  • Exposure details.  ex Full Sun, windy spot, morning shade, hot
  • Are there overhead power lines?
  • Desired fall color
  • Desired leaf size; ex big, little, maple like
  • Tolerance of tree litter; ex minimal, berries are ok, small seeds ok, large seeds not ok.

Information we need to help with design coaching or plant placement
Picture of area

  • Measurements of the planting area; ex 4'x8'
  • Rough sketch of planting bed
  • Exposure details.  ex Full Sun, windy spot, morning shade, hot
  • Color/texture preferences

Information we need for pruning advice

  • Species of plant, if known
  • Photo of plant printed on a piece of copy paper, so we can mark where to cut
  • Goal of pruning; ex limit size, promote good health, etc
