Planting cost is 80% of the regular retail price of plants with a cumulative total over $100.00. If the total is less than a $100.00 the planting cost is 100% of the regular retail price. Any time a purchase for plants and planting is over $1,000 we will survey the location before committing to the planting job. We will call you to set up an appointment for surveying. We will not work under unsafe conditions. If our crew decides working conditions are unsafe to get a plant to a location for planting they will not take it there. We generally are concerned about moving large plants on steep grades, on hills or slopes, but we are sure we could encounter many other unsafe conditions and our crew will refuse to endanger themselves at any time. Information we need to know: Name, street address (where we are to be working), home & work telephone numbers. Show location, where to plant, on map. Let us know if the location is an empty lot, business, or residence. Setting up planting time: When is a good time for us to plant? When we are digging from our field we can not deliver or plant on Saturday or Sunday. We do recommend someone be there when we come. We will try to plant when it’s as convenient for you as possible, within reason. We set up delivery and planting times with; when the plant(s) are dormant enough to transplant, and when you purchased the plants. We believe in first come first served as soon as possible. Every one will have to wait and we are never sure when the plants will be ready to transplant because there are too many variables involved. We will call you as soon as possible and schedule a date and time. Planting Includes: Removing the sod that needs to be removed to plant, digging the hole, materials needed for planting, planting, watering plant(s) in, staking (if needed) and cleaning up our mess at the planting site. Preparing for our crew to plant in your yard: You need to find out where underground power, cable, and telephone lines are. Know where sewer lines or septic systems are and your underground irrigation lines too. Remember to keep in mind how large plants grow when planting near utility lines. You are responsible for any damages due to us digging where you ask us to. We must have tractor access to planting location for any plants 3 ½” caliper trunk or larger bareroot, 30” or larger container or basket. To have tractor access 7 feet wide is needed; no power lines, telephone lines, or cables lower than 15 feet. Planting does not include: Removing sections of fence, removing existing plants or extra sod. Planting where a plant has been removed, a stump has been ground out (due to the chips), where there is no soil (due to many rocks), planting where there are large roots from existing plants or plants that have been removed. We have found your new plants will not establish themselves and grow well in these conditions, anyway. Anything not listed in Planting, or consulting on other plants in your yard. Extra Services: Must be set up before our crew comes to plant. Will be approved or not when the crew is there. The costs of any extra services are $50.00 per 30 minutes starting at the time the other services begins. Payment is due when the crew finishes (You Pay the Driver) before they leave. Further distances than indicated on map will cost (to be determined) per mile plus set price.
